STEAMPAINTING: Spark

Nostalgiafolio:
I co-founded Steambot back in 2006. What began as a passionate collective of friends and artists rapidly grew into a well-established concept design studio. We had the privilege of working on some incredible projects, and although that chapter ultimately came to a difficult end, I still hold incredibly fond memories of such an inspired, intense period of our lives.
Our book, STEAMPAINTING: Spark, was our venture into creating an independent educational and publishing platform. Unlike our work on Exodyssey (published via Design Studio Press), this book focused heavily on the raw processes and techniques we utilized daily to create concept art. It was a true reflection of our passion for the concept art community, offering a snapshot of our mindset and motivations at the time.
Featured here are the illustrations I contributed to the project. I’ve chosen to preserve the original accompanying text and FAQs, as the insights and advice remain remarkably relevant to artists today.
